I, like many others was scammed by the free trial from Acai Berry. I ordered and was sent a free 15 day trial bottle of the product (only had to pay shipping). I made sure to read ALL the fine print BEFORE ordering the product so I wouldn't get scammed. It says that you have 15 days from your order ship date to cancel and not be sent or billed for anything else. It took about another 2 weeks from my order date for the product to even be sent. I decided I did not want to continue to receive the product, so, I attempted to cancel. 3 days after I received the product, I called to cancel. I discovered that the number on the enclosed paperwork (which is the same number on the website) was not a valid phone number. I called at least a hundred times a day for several days and each time I called, the same thing happened... A recorded voice would thank me for calling and tell me that my call would be answered in the order in which it was received and then music would start playing. About 1 to 2 minutes after the music started playing, it would stop, and then the line would disconnect me!
After getting frustrated of dealing with this for several days, I did some research and found 8 other numbers to call (which I will list at the bottom). All were useless! The exact same thing happened at each and every number! I also sent over 50 emails with no response! They also have a "live chat" on their website which I tried to use and would send a message and many hours later... Still had gotten no response!
A few days later, I discovered that I had started to be charged for the product, as well as several other products that I had not ordered... Nor had I even received! I contacted my bank and am now fighting with them to get my money back. I have had to cancel my card because of this scam! I am in the hole a few hundred dollars as of now.
I read through many of the complaints on here and finally found a number that actually got me through to someone to cancel my order!!! That number that I was able to get through on was: 877-300-3766
I was able to cancel any future orders and billing (supposedly - we'll see about whether they really cancel or not). I attempted to get my money back for the other charges and the woman told me there was nothing she could do because I did not cancel within the alloted 15 days. I explained to her that I had been trying to reach them for over a week and she simply appologized for my troubles and used the excuse that the phone problems were due to a high volume of calls (which is total BS!). She told me that they could not refund me for any charges that had been made. She offered up the suggestion that I return the unwanted products and get a partial refund that way. I told her I would be glad to... If I had a product to send back! I was being billed for something I didn't even receive! I told her that I never received anything after my trial bottle and she said that she showed confirmation that other products had been delivered and that unless I sent them back, I would have to be charged for it. I demanded to speak to a supervisor and was told that I couldn't, that they were busy with other callers. I told her I would stay on hold for as long as it took, but she informed me that I could not tie up her line.By this point, I was done with it! I received a confirmation email stating that my account had been cancelled.
I am now dealing with my bank and trying to file fraud charges to get my money back that way.
I have filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau and several other complaint sites in reference to this matter in hopes of getting this company to stop their scamming ways! I have even emailed the local news website that advertised this product informing them of the scam.

I know this was a lot to read, but felt it was important to include every last bit of info as possible. I hope that something gets done about this and that no one else gets suckered into this scam as too many already have been!
This is not right and something needs to be done about it!
