Unauthorized charges

A company who advertises on Face Book selling Acai Berry products operates a fraudulent enterprise. The company operates a website and brand names of NuBodi, Colon Aid, Celebrity Fit Online, and Extreme My Body (and others). My wife ordered a trial bottle of the Acai Berry supplements.in the very fine print of the order form, they state that a monthly autoship will begin if the trial is not canceled within 14 days. We all know this is a typical misleading business practice, but it gets worse.

We found multiple charges for $89.31 on our card from this company. But we never received any product. The company also uses a foriegn VISA account and a $3.68 service fee is charged with each transaction.

Through my research I found that they operate using different merchant numbers, and differnt contact numbers, and different transaction descriptions. We identifed 3 different company names/merchant numbers when researching our charges. I researched the numbers online and some were untraceable and some were linked to fraudulent activity reports much like mine.

I contacted one of the numbers and spoke with "John". It turns out that John is at a call center supposedly somewhere in Florida. However the description of their office hours which played while on hold stated were in for "Mountian Standard Time Zone".

John and I talked and he stated that the "product was in the warehouse and hasn't shipped." He offered to send it out. I refused and stated I wanted to cancel my autoship, and get a refund. He agreed to cancel the autoship, but refused to give me a refund until I returned the product. (Remember, he stated it was still at the warehouse). I stated I never received it and he said he couldn't give me a refund until he confirmed the product was returned. He said that would take 7 to 10 days. I demanded an immediate refund. I reminded him about his comments (order not shipped) he denied it and said no refund until product is returned/confirmed.

I asked for specific company contact numbers and names and John refused to give them to me. He would only narrow his location down to Florida.

A circular argument insued; no resolution. He stated he was getting his supervisor (who he previously denied was there); I was on perpetual hold.

I found it very odd that there are so many different "names" this company operates from and the use of foriegn processors.

Because of the nature of the transactions we had to cancel our bank account and file claims with our Bank for fraudulent activity.
