The first weekend in February of last year I worked for Physique promoting their hair products to local residents of Starkville, Ms inside a local Wal-Mart. I am a student at Mississippi State University and was a member of the MSU Fashion Board at the time. We were told to fill out the information sheets given to us, as well as returning the jacket we had to wear, and also include inventory slips of how much we sold while we were there that weekend promoting Physique. I did as instructed, and was supposed to receive a check in the mail around $125.00 within the next 4-6 weeks. Weeks passed, and I had not received my pay check. Finally, everyone who volunteered to help promote Physique that weekend received their pay checks, everyone except me and this other girl. I was then told that my package I had had given to our advisor, who sent all of the packages back together at the same time, had been lost in the mail. I re-filled out forms and again placed them in the mail. Two weeks later I got something in the mail from Physique thanking me for my time and effort and received a sample as well as coupons off their product. (which we were expecting after our pay checks were supposed to come in) I called the number on the letter they sent many times to find no answer and no way to communicate with an operator. I then called my Fashion Board advisor last summer, and we still heard no word from the company. What I have a hard time understanding is that if they lost my address and forms in the mail to where they couldn't send me my pay check, why did I receive the letter in the mail thanking me after everyone else received their pay checks and why not just send my pay check to my advisor so she could give it to me? I think this all has been dealt with in a very irresponsible manner. I am not sure if the other girl ever received her money or not, but it has been over a year now and I would like to collect what is owed to me. This has gone on for way too long.
