Non-responder "protocol" is just a scam to avoid refund There is no guarantee

I have been going to ALC for over 2 1/2 years with no results. Actually I did have one result: it ruined my face and made the hair much worse. They told me that I had to shave the area. That's fine but the only hair that was removed from the area was the fine vellus hair that should never be removed. This caused the skin there to look terrible and crepey and I have more acne than ever. The dark hairs remained in fact became much worse over time. I have had over 13 treatments so far with zero result.

I have talked to the staff at the clinic many times over the duration of my treatments. They have used the highest settings on the newest lasers and double and sometimes triple passed the treatment area.

I resorted to contacting corporate and have been for months now with nothing but a runaround. I have so far spoken to at least 6 customer service reps who promise to follow up with the local clinic and medical staff and never do. They refer to the non-responder protocol and keep talking about how it gets routed here and there but never say what will result.

Two months ago I had pictures taken at the local clinic after being told to do so by Corp. Customer service. I did so and the local clinic supposedly never filed the non-responder report and sent it to the medical staff.

Today I called again and spoke to Angel who says he will contact the Cordova clinic to get the report. I told him that I had spoken to 5 reps and have heard nothing. According to him the medical staff claims that they never received anything. I asked him about this mysterious protocol. The process is that the nurse on call receives the report and reviews the form and patient file then it goes to the regional manager. Then what? I was very frustrated and raised my voice as I told him about spending over $5000 on absolutely nothing (except of course ruining my face).

Eva (Angel's supervisor) the customer service manager got on the phone. She said that part of the problem is that the regular manager at my local clinic has been replaced. She was pleasant enough and said she would contact the local clinic and get back to me. I asked her how long the medical staff will take once they get this report? She replied that it takes normally takes them two weeks to reply. What's two weeks when it has been 2 1/2 years. She also said oddly that maybe they can offer some complimentary services? Why would I want any more services that so far have been costly and ineffective?

I hope this will lead to some sort of resolution but I have a feeling I will have to resort to seeking legal advice. Dr. Michael Phelps is the medical advisor to that clinic. Maybe I should contact him and see what he thinks.
