Wu Yi Tea - Living Lean
Wu Yi Tea / Living Lean When is a cancellation not a cancellation

Drink the tea, take a walk and lose weight. Pay only the shipping. Free tea for one month. It sounded so simple. I thought I'd try it. I went through the ordering steps, pressed "submit order" and then had second thoughts. As I read the billing summary information on the Order Confirmation that I had printed out, I was stunned by the auto-ship clause. This provision was printed nowhere during the ordering process. And if the tea was so great, why should I have to order month after month after month. I decided to cancel the order. Shouldn't be too hard; it had only been about five minutes.

I called the 866 number given on the bottom of the Order Confirmation. Halfway through the message, the line went dead. I tried again. Same thing. Undaunted, I went to the website address given on the Confirmation and requested that EVERYTHING be cancelled - the order, the auto-ship, my membership. The whole kit and kaboodle.

Two days later, I got a response. No problem; I was assured that the membership and order were canceled. They'd only charge the shipping. When I questioned why I was charged shipping when the order was cancelled, my account was credited for the shipping as well. That should have been the end of it. Or so I thought.

Four weeks later, during a daily check of our account, we found that a charge of $19.95 had been debited to our account by an entity known as "Living Lean." A google search quickly revealed the tie between Living Lean and Wu-Yi Tea. They are tied together in a scam so unbelievably clever that it is impossible to cancel both with one phone call. Allegedly, one is supposed to get a free 30-day membership to Living Lean but there is no information on what goes with the membership. Just a monthly charge. When we called the 866-449-5567 number provided by Wu-Yi tea, we were referred to a different 866 number.

I have emailed the Wu-Yi contact who "cancelled" my membership and order to lodge my complaint.inasmuch as our discovery occurred on a Saturday, we now have to wait until Monday in order to complain to the Living Lean representative.

Lacking any positive action on their part, we will be forced to close one account and open another in an effort to avoid further unauthorized debits.
