Aspen Dental used phony x-rays purporting to show "bone loss" to get me to agree to a "deep cleaning" process at a cost of almost $2,000.00. When I went in for the cleaning, it was performed by a technician in two sessions of about 15 minutes each. It was no different from many other cleaning I had had in the past.in fact, it was not nearly as good as many other cleanings I have had.
When I complained to the company representative about the cost of an ordinary cleaning, he said it was the "going price" in the community.in fact, the average price in this community is about $75.00. The cleaning portion of the treatment is billed at almost $800.00.
The company has refused to make any adjustment in this outrageous charge and refuses to make any effort to negotiate. The only refunds I have received are for the third appointment, which I cancelled as soon as I realized how I was being ripped off, and for a tooth brush which I returned. The tooth brush is a piece of junk which is so underpowered, it barely rotates and they will charge you $130.00 for it.
In short, I urge you to stay far away from this company. They are nothing but a bunch of ripoff artists who will rob you if they can. The tipoff is that they will want their money up front before they do any treatment. This is so they can say "you signed for the charges and we performed the service." The cry of the scam artist.
