When I received the ShowerBuddy it did appear used. There was a good dent in one of the metal frames, the locking wheels on chair frame looked used and only two had brake locks, the one side handle lock on the chair was broken (no broken piece could be found in the packaging though) and the two rubber ends on the bridge frame legs were definitely used. We sent everything back in he packaging it was shipped to us in and did not get a refund.
