Urology Specialists of Nevada's billing office will not send out bills. They bill the insurance and then expect the patient to pay what the insurance does not without a bill being mailed. We received a statement from Urology Specialists of Nevada on an account dated back to July on an account we were never made aware of. The statement was written in threatening language stating that the account would be sent to collections if not remitted within 10 days. 3 exclaimation points were used in the sentence. We contacted them by phone and they admitted losing the bill in their system. They were not apologetic about it at all and acted as if it was our fault. There is something wrong with the system when an office cannot be held acountable for its own mistakes but shifts the blame to the consumer. At the very least they should be forced to issue regular bills before expecting payment.
