I had LASIK eye surgery performed by Dr. Terry Kim, MD. Not only did Dr. Terry Kim not adequately inform me of the HORROR of permanent post-LASIK dry eye (even the FDA LASIK website warns that LASIK dry eye can be permament), he performed a grossly undersized ablation on my large pupils leaving me with permanently ruined night vision and not enough corneal tissue remaining to ever do anything about it.
Once my eyes were ruined and Dr. Terry Kim had his money, he refused to see me. It took me many months to collect a refund from Duke for follow-up visits I had prepaid.
Several years later, my eyes burn and sting constantly from LASIK-induced dry eye and my night vision is like an explosion in a fireworks factory. My day vision is also distorted. I wear glasses full time, and my vision now with glasses or contacts is of very poor quality compared to my crisp vision with glasses or contacts BEFORE LASIK.
My contrast sensitivity (dim light vision) after LASIK with Dr. Terry Kim is horrible, making it hard for me to find things in drawers, closets... A gym bag.
