I hope by writing this I can save the next person who is going to have their life turned upside down. I joined Cornerstone America to secure a future for myself but what I got was hell. I was told I would make a very good living. I would get qualified "A" leads, stock, residuals after a year. It all sounded so good as long as I worked hard and did my part the money would come rolling in.
Well, I did my job. The "A" leads, well I did get them but so did other agents. I would call these wonderful "A" leads just to hear that they just got a call from someone else in my company.
So I bought outside leads, joined marketing groups, advertised, put cards out in different locations, cold called, called "B" leads and on and on and on. It was apparent that what I was told when hired was not the case. The money that I did make did not cover what I was putting out. I took a sizeable loss and I'm still trying to recover.
Now they are coming after me for money they say I owe the company. Even though I was told I would get residuals for a whole year, somehow they say I owe. When I requested an actual amount they could only project what I would owe. I was told that if I didn't pay $400.00 (that was the first amount) then it went to $876.00, then it went to $1476.00, they would report me to the credit companies. After going back and forth for weeks, I got no where. So I have decided to fight back. Please read on.
I am calling on all former agents with Cornerstone America, Mega, HealthMarkets and any affiliates to join me in filing a Nationwide Class Action Lawsuit. And I'm not joking. These companies have ruined enough lives and have taken more form us than anyone deserves. If we get enough people who have legitimate complaints I'm sure we could find a lawyer to take our case.
