We received a package from Tri-Clear last week, and opened it curious as to what was inside... Neither my wife nor I ever ordered from them, and we were unsure if it was some sort of free trial or what... I figured something was up since the literarture inside mentioned some sort of "club" and receiving a supply every 30 days... So we started watching the bank account...
Then today (7/5/07) we saw a $69.00 charge from Tri-Clear, and IMMEDIATELY called the number... My wife asked why there was a charge and the person on the phone stated that someone had ordered it on 6/14/07... Uh. No, we didn't... She asked for proof (ie. Recorded phone conversation..) and the person she talked to said that they would refund our $ and gave an address to send the stuff to.
I am waiting for the refund to process until I send it back, and honestly why should I spend my own money to send the stuff back that we never ordered in the first place...
Something is fishy here...
I filed a BBS report today... We will see where it goes. I am just curious if they can show that we ordered something, like produce a recording.
How many other people will get this and miss the charges, or catch the second or third one before cancelling? Easy way to make $70, $140 or more. Multiply that times the number of boxes sent out...
This guys are about as "clean and clear" as the before pictures in the pamphlet...
