I was looking at lens crafters for prescription =
sunglasses and the rep. Told me that my eye exam was good for two years, = since it was an exam for glasses.
I had decided, however, to continue looking since it was a bit pricey and I only wanted prescription =
sunglasses for convenience. I had checked other places and found I = could get a comparable pair of glasses for half the price and asked that = my prescription be faxed over, I was told that my prescription could =only be faxed if the rep. From the other company call.
Fine, the other =co. Called and requested that my prescription be faxed and they were =told it would take several hours "because lens crafters was so busy". =
Approx. 1 hour later someone called and said that my prescription had =expired. I then called several lens crafters in the Harrisburg area to =inquire about the exams length of validity. I was told by all three =
stores that for glasses it is two years and contact lenses it is one =year. I then called the Selinsgrove store to ask why the inconsistancy, =one week it is valid for two years and all other stores support that =
time frame but now that I have chosen to use an outside provider it is =only one year.
