Lean Rx - Hoodia
Lean rx - hoodia ripoff fraudulent billing

In March I ordered a Free trial offer of Hoodia/BurnFat2 with the understanding I would have 21 days to cancel further shipments if I did not want to continue the subscription. I had just received it and had only used it for a few days before I noticed my checking account had been charged $99.90 for a new shipment! I contacted the company and was told the order had already been shipped, that I would need to return it with a written request to cancel further shipments and they would issue a refund at that time. I never received the product and contacted the company again. I was told once again the product had just been shipped and that I would need to return it. I contacted my Bank and disputed the charge and finally got the $99.90 credited back to my account.

In looking at my check card holds on my checking account I discovered a charge for $79.95 made 09/01/06 for a product called LeanRx. I had no idea what this for was but knew I had not ordered it as I have been unemployed for a year and a half now and could not afford to order anything at this time. I have also discovered I am diabetic and can not be taking this type of product unless approved my by doctor. I tried to Google the name and kept coming up with ProLab LeanRx. I contacted that company and was told that this was not their product. I finally went on line and did a reverse number look-up of the toll-free number that was listed on the checking account charge and found it to be listed to HOODIA—what a coinsidence... When calling their toll-free number you never get a live rep, you get an automatic system asking for a call-back number and then you leave your name and what the call is about. I have placed a dozen calls to the number and have not received a call back to date. I have again contacted my Bank to report this fraudulent activity as I NEVER authorized this charge. The company had to have used my credit info from the original order I did place back in March. At the Banks suggestion, I cancelled by debit card and had them issue me another one with a system generated PIN number that I will have to go in to the Bank to get changed. If you don't do it this way, any card you order that keeps the same PIN number, even though the charge card number is different, any future charges will automatically be rolled over from the new card to the old one. You have to have that PIN number changed and the old card completely cancelled to prevent future fraudulent charges. There has been numerous consumer complaintss concerning this company and something needs to be done about it.
