Body Wise is operating an illegal massage therapy business. The owner, Anasia, is not a licensed massage therapist. Her husband, Octavio Olaje, is not trained and not licensed as a massage therapist. It is illegal in the state of Arizona to practice massage therapy without a license.
Octavio Olaje injured me during a massage. When confronted and asked for his license number, he lied and stated he was licensed but didn't know the license number. Later I learned that he is not licensed, and is not even trained to practice massage therapy. His wife is also not licensed to practice massage, and she even schedules appointments for him knowing he's not licensed or trained.
Both have been arrested on criminal charges. The Charges against Anasia were dropped because her attorney claimed she would be receiving her license "any day now". That was in February. It is now July and she's still not licensed. However, she continues to practice massage therapy illegally, without a license.
The sad part of all of this is that there is at least one other person who was injured by Octavio Olaje. There may be more. The local newspaper has been sitting on a story about this fraudulent "massage therapist" couple but will not print it so others who have been injured would know of the charges and come forward if they had been hurt too. Why is the newspaper suppressing this information? Because Anasia is the massage therapist for the man who owns the newspaper, and he feels that she is in fact the victim here.
It feels like living in a Communist society. The Sierra Vista Herald frequently runs messages about being a newspaper who believes in "freedom of the press" and indicating they print all the news, not what favors those in power. Except of course, the owners, who can choose to print what they want the public to know.
