My husband had to go see an orthopedic surgeon because he had a completley severed tendon. The tendon was severed at the knuckle of the index finger on his left hand. We went to see Dr. Schader to schedule surgery to have the tendon sewn back together. Dr. Schader took one look at my husband and said "Oh, Well the good news is that the index finger has 2 tendons. So you don't really need surgery any time soon, if at all. Besides you still have your other 4 fingers. You don't really need that finger anyway." My husband works as an electrician. For any of you who are familiar with that field you know that an electrician's hands are his livelyhood. SO I would NOT reccomend going to Dr. Schader if you need an orthopedic doctor. He had the bedside manner of a cucumber and the consideration of a porcupine. When I spoke up about how unprofessional his attitude was he basically told me to set down and shut up. That was on a Tuesday. The next day we went to another Orthopedic doctor and my husband had his surgery less then a week later. That happened on October 24th of this year. It is now the 1st of December and my husband has 95% use of his index finger. So if you ever disagree with a doctor don't be afraid to say so.
