When I first began working for this company I worked at least 48 hours a week, (the case recieved 7 12 hour days/shift. After about 6 weeks the owner called me at the patient's home. This is a pediatric home health agency in the Houston area. The owner called to talk with me about my hours. He asked me, "How many hours are you willing to work a week?" I said I would work 48 hours a week. Two days on, one day off and then work two more days.
He said, "Okay, but I will have to cut your pay." I said, "No I'm not going to take a cut in pay." He said, "Okay but I'm going to cut your hours." Then he gave my hours to a younger black nurse who made more money. The Mom to my patient, later called me up on the phone and begged me to go back to work for CN Healthcare because he could no longer keep that case staffed.
I later talked with a fellow employee of CN healthcare while at a job interview, (the man told how angry he was at Chichi and he told me he made $25.00 an hour. We are both LVN's and did the same job).
I lost over $50,000.00 when I left the company because he would not pay women the same pay as the males.
