Baer's Furniture
Damaged Furniture

I'm writing to challenge a purchase within the quantity of $2130.00 for furniture which was faulty upon appearance against Baer’s Furniture bought on 12/9/07. Listed here are chronological information on my attempts to solve this problem using the vendor who've not upheld there guarantees or endured by their item.

1. Furniture was special-ordered from Marty Brantley (Salesman) on 12/9/07 and was informed the furniture might get to about a few months. I indicated my problem concerning the quality of the merchandise prior to making the purchase and was guaranteed that their item is of best quality. Per Marty, “if something were to-go wrong on appearance in a few months, it'd be changed no-questions asked”.

2. Furniture came on 4/16/07 and upon examination, was faulty upon arrival. The couch recliner’s system appeared bent. It didn't function properly and wouldn't permit both recliners to start easily in the same period (See below). It was communicated towards the shipping team and was informed that it'd not be a problem for alternative because it was faulty on appearance. Additionally, the furniture was lacking a material safety package that's section of my furniture safety guarantee that I bought.

3. It took roughly 30 days of stress to obtain my absent material safety package thru numerous telephone calls with Marty in the nearby Baer’s furniture along with calling Baer’s headquarter (800-543-2092).in the place of changing my faulty furniture “no concerns asked” as guaranteed by Marty prior to the purchase, they decided to send a repair person. This required about 3 telephone calls simply to obtain the restoration individual in the future out around end-of April. The “general” repair individual arrived and had no idea on which the issue was and reported “I believe it’s the stop cell but I’m not sure”. I waited patiently and was informed the stop cell might consider 3 MORE weeks to obtain below and obtained a postcard from Baer’s declaring the same.

4. I'd to keep calling to check on the standing of the component. Lastly on 7/3/08, I received a phone call from Baer’s headquarter telling me the “kick panel” is in. I made the appointment with the repair person for 7/15/08 and took the day down. After patiently waiting a few months, I had been informed they requested the MATERIAL rather than the stop cell system which this could resolve nothing per the repair person. This kind of customer support is undesirable. I dropped a complete evening of my income for that visit without any quality.

5. I approached Marty on 7/16 and informed him the problem. I required to Marty to provide me a brand new furniture piece or return my income. He named me back and explained his supervisor has gone out for some times. I followed-up again with him and he explained to provide him several more times that we did. He didn't call-back again. I followed-up once more and was informed he quit on holiday for just two months without focusing on my problem. On 8/16/08, I approached the shop and spoke to Jackie Heck (General Manager). Once more, I informed her I'd like a brand new furniture piece or return my cash for that purchase. I also chose to follow-up with Jackie personally in the shop exactly the same evening and informed her this really is her last opportunity to make things right. She named me on 8/17/08 with no appropriate quality.

It's been more than 8 weeks since my purchase of the furniture and that I still possess a faulty product from Baer’s Furniture. I don't desire to cope with them again and that I am seeking my cash back. This is actually the worse customer support I’ve handled from any vendor. I'll even be processing grievances using the Better Business Office, National Trade Commission, Florida Department of Consumer Services, California Office of Attorney-General, and Route 9 Eyewitness News Motion Writer against Baers Furniture’s dishonest sales exercise to ensure that this doesn't occur to potential customers.

Thanks,

John Truong
