Bought furniture from Surplus Freight in 2009. Purchased a queen bed, which turned moldy within a couple of years. There is almost nothing left of the dresser I bought - there are 3 out of 6 drawers left. The nails that hold this piece of junk together pop out and the bottom of the drawers are lined with cardboard that collapses with the least amount of pressure. Try putting more than 2 T-shirts in there. The nightstand isn't too bad, but the top of it is starting to peel off. I also had to insert a screw on the underside of the drawer bottom so that the cardboard wouldn't slide out every time I closed the drawer. I still have the coffee/end table set, but their legs constantly wobble because they need to be consistently tightened underneath. The same goes for the kitchen table I bought there. Two of the four chairs that came with that couldn't be assembled; nothing fit well together. As for the other two chairs, one of them just fell apart after a while. I am down to one. I thought "surplus" meant "good condition, we just have extra". Buyer beware. If it sounds too good to be true, it IS. Not, "it PROBABLY is". Lesson learned. If it's "inexpensive" cheap, it's likely "poor quality" cheap.
