My husband I purchased a LG kitchen package at HH Gregg on October 28. As we had space limitations, against my better judgment we purchased the only available 19' floor model which had been discontinued. While I noticed a lot of prints on the refrigerator, I thought they were from normal opening and closing of a floor model, but could be removed with basic cleaning.in fact, I asked Abe if it could be cleaned prior delivery and he said yes; however when the refrigerator was delivered, it had not been cleaned. I cleaned the refrigerator using soap and water as well as stainless steel cleaner and 4 weeks later the stains are as evident as they were on first site. A week later I responded back to the store and reported the same to Abe, expressed my dissatisfaction and that I wanted an exchange. Abe attempted but couldn't find another LG model within our budget. I returned home and completed my own research and found a 23' LG model at Home Depot for approximately the same price of the 19%u2019 model at HH Gregg. We purchased the refrigerator from Home Depot and obtained a delivery date of November 10. I then contacted Abe to advise him of the same and to schedule a pickup of the 19%u2019 inch model. Of course Abe worked to match the deal. I asked Able if he could get the refrigerator at the same price and delivered by November 10th, he said yes or give him a couple more days for delivery. Again, against my better judgment, I cancelled by purchase with Home Depot.
Well, 4 days later on Thursday, November 15th, I hadn%u2019t heard from HH Gregg and called Abe to inquire about my delivery date. Abe apologized for not calling as it was his on Wednesday, but advised me that the refrigerator had been back ordered and would not be delivered until November 21st. I was extremely upset about this as I felt that I had been duped by a salesman who probably already knew that he couldn%u2019t match the delivery date but felt it was better to ask for forgiveness than permission. I told Able that I could have had the refrigerator had I not cancelled my purchase with Home Depot based on his misinformation.
This is totally unacceptable customer service and I don%u2019t appreciate such unethical practices. I will never do business with HH Gregg again and will advise my family and friends of the same. Thank you.
