I bought a Sony Bravia 40-inch lcd 1080p design KDL 40bx 421 in November. It started having issues in mid with flickering then your image planning gray. I'd it maintained in July where period a circuit-board was changed. This fixed the problem. It's today March and also the television has got the same problem and it also today becomes off and on alone. I'm really disappointed and dissappointed using the stability of the item particularly since my guarantee may end the following month. If this problem isn't fixed and solved properly this time around, I'll be caught having a $550.00 Buck Discussion item and nothing more. I really hope Sony may uphold its dedication to quality and look after this problem if it's actually a deficiency in components and must be researched and perhaps remembered. I have always liked Sony goods but this problem is providing me stop.
