I purchased a Vizio Blu ray Player (VBR-220) in January along with a 42 Inch Vizio television. Within a week the HDMI port quit working on the Blu Ray Player and I also noticed I wasnt able to update the firmware of the player over the net. I did call and address these issues with tech support and i faxed a copy of my walmart receipt I didnt hear anything else about my complaints. Recently I heard of an update for my Blu Ray player that addresses issues with Netflix along with some other fixes. Once again I attempted the update via the internet and wasnt successful I contacted Vizio and inquired about the new update and was told they would send a disc so I could update it, I never received the disc I called back about a month later and was told another disc would be sent I did receive this disc but it wasnt readable. I contacted them again and was sent another disc this one didnt update and gave an internal error. I contacted them again and received another disc that also didnt work. I contacted them today and was told all they could help with was to keep sending discs. I have read many posts concerning the HDMI Port not working and the update failing with error code 3000, they dont seem to care I spent 138.00 on this unit and that I live on a fixed income and served my country for 13 years in the military where I was injured. They just want to send disks and hope Ill forget about it and continue to buy their goods. Thats where I dont forget I will never buy their junk again, I would rather watch reruns of AL-jaharra than rely on their goods to work properly.
