I have been a Buyer and a Seller on Ebay since 2004 and have never been so cheated and ripped-off by a Seller than I have with List Cat LLC. I had won a bid on a 17mm camera lens in Febuary from this company on Ebay. The winning bid was for $70.00 and expected a clean lens free from scratches and pitting. The packaged arrived in bubble wrap. I opened the bubble wrap, took the lens out. I inspected it up close and saw a big scratch right in the middle of the lens.in closer examination up to the light I saw major pitting on the lens surface.
I contacted the Seller thru Ebay and explained that the lens was a mess. They stated that the original Owner of the lens had died and that they were going by the discription the Owner had given them and did not know the condition of the lens. They asked if I wanted a refund. I stated yes and that I would return the lens to them and expect a refund thru my PayPal Account.
When I contacted the Seller after a week to see if they had gotten the package, they responded back that they had gotten it, however they claim that the lens damage was caused by me. They stated that the filter holder had been removed and that I had caused the scratches to the lens. I went thru Ebay Resolution Center with this.
The Seller continues to blame me for the condition of the lens. They know that they sent me a pile of garbage and are keeping my money. They have insulted my intellegence and have angered me by calling me a liar. Why would I purposely ruin a lens that I have been wanting for many months? This scammer needs to be exposed.
The Company List Cat LLC is a Member of the Chamber of Commerce in Granada Hills CA. I think they need to be contacted and told of the shady practice of a local business.
