I saw an incredible price for a Nikon DSLR (d90). I understand it's the grey market version, and I'm ok with that. Not having dealt with Digital Depot Online before, I called them to ask some basic questions. They assured me the items are new, and the only reason the price is so low is due to the grey market items not being warranted by the manufacturer. I placed the order, and received an email within hours requesting I call them to confirm my order.initially I was impressed, thinking this was an extra measure of security. HA! In reality this is the technique they use to "redirect" the customer. The specific reason I was given for the call was to tell me I mistyped the security code from my card. Whenever I make a credit card purchase, I am "double extremely" careful to enter information accurately. So things started to smell fishy at this point (yes, even over the phone). Then he proceeds to tell me the model I chose is discontinued.
