There is a Know power board issue with some Samsung LCD TV and only certain models are listed and repaired for free if the TV is already out of warranty. I called because Samsung support because my TV suffered this issue and they told me it was not possible! My model and serial was not part of the recall and I would have to repair the TV at full cost. I went online and did some research. I opened the TV and saw that my capacitor was in fact blown on the power board just like the recall and many many websites describes. I ordered a new power board from a 3rd party retailer and installed it myself. Guess what, it was fixed!!! I am very angry at Samsung for not covering their bad manufacturing problems and widening their list of know Models. My TV was only a little over two years old and it's unacceptable to be breaking so soon. The cost of the power board was nominal compared to a new TV or paying a repair person to do the same thing I did. Because of the principle, I want Samsung to repay me for the board and to widen their known model list immediately
