I ordered and paid for a US map from Tom Tom. They never downloaded the map. When I called they directed me to a site in the UK, this process took two hours They (UK) never answered my request nor downloaded my map. I got an email saying they would consider my case closed if I don't respond in 72 hours but the link they sent was a dead end. They know that if they stall and put you through hoops that you will eventually figure out that it's not worth the effort to recover that small sum of money, in my case $34. I suggest buying a Gxxxx, the little more you pay is well worth it if you ever need support or a refund.
Sorry, allowing you to give a competitors name would instigate others to just file against their competition, to only come back later to suggest their company your comments on this policy are welcome!
