Adam Raczynski advertised a Garmin Apollo GX-55 GPS on a site named Barnstormers.com. I responded to the ad and asked via email if it was working and the date of the database. Adam Raczynski responded that the unit was working when removed and data base was not current.
The Apollo GX-55 GPS sold to me was found to be not functioning and could not be repaired. The unit was examined by a local avionics repair station and then sent to Garmin. Garmin red tagged the unit and returned it as unrepairable.
In response to my email question Was it working properly when it was removed and how dated is the database? Adam Raczynski responded Yes it was working when removed. This was a clear misrepresentation.
I contacted Barnstormers.com and they said Adam Raczynski is a know scammer and advertizes under alias names and has been removed from the site previously.
Mr. Raczynski will not refund the money.
