Either I am too trusting or an idiot. I hope it's the former and not the latter. I signed up with National Wholesale Company (aka Profitbig) in order to have a source for the lowest prices on electronics.
They assured me that they would supply me with the lowest prices on tv's, vcr's cameras etc.
Before I knew it, I had signed a non-cancellable lease contract for a template website that was fully stocked and up-graded by the company.
After not making a single sale in the first 2 months, I was becoming leery of the whole thing.
My first and main reason for signing up was to have a constant assortment of products to sell on the auction site Ebay.
The company informed me both by word of mouth and literature the exact steps to take to list items on Ebay along with the suggested listing prices in order to make a profit.
I listed some of the most popular items on Ebay and still I could not make a sale.
Another Ebay member was selling the exact same items for a lot less than I was paying wholesale.
I notified the company and specifically Suzanne (first name only on the company contact sheet) to inquire how someone could be selling the exact same item for so cheap.
After telling me that she could not find the items in question in order to investigate, I did some digging on my own.
What I was able to find out floored me. It seems the the Ebay member that was underselling all these items at auction was none other than the company itself using the user ID (NATWHO).
At first I didn't put the two together, until I e-mailed natwho and asked him the name of his website and like an imbecile he says Profitbig.com which is NWC.
Natwho is the first 3 letters of the company name.
When I confronted Suzanne with this info, she first denied it and then tried to explain it away as their trial and error method of how Ebay works for the benefit of new members to NWC.
I was told that they did sell a few items or so. Maybe 2 or 3 items certainly no more than 6 every six months. I checked and found no less than 60 listings in which many ended up in sales in less than 2 months.
Then when I told her that I intended to find other NWC website owners to inform them of my findings, the threats started.
My account was suspended (for being a trouble maker?) and I was threatened with ISP sanctions, whatever that is.
When I asked to speak with the company president, James Polino, Suzanne, who would not give me her last name, said I would never get to talk with him. I was not surprised when I found out her last name is POLINO.
Since this trouble started, I closed my checking account so they couldn't withdraw any more money, I filed a complait with the BBB, The Massachusetts attorney general and made an online internet fraud complaint.
I am still looking for any other members of NWC or Profitbig who are not aware of what kind of company they are dealing with.
Even though my account has been suspended for 4 months now, I still get billed monthly for my website. What a farce.
The reason there may not be any other reports is that other members have not figured out the deception going on. I assure you that once they find out, the complaints will flood in.
