As with shopping anywhere, check the local competition. If you are going to buy look at the product and warranty in writing. Be aware most retail clerks work for very little pay and usually don't know a lot about what they are selling (there are exceptions). Make sure you ask about returns. Fry's has almost always been cheaper in Phoenix than Best Buy, has a larger selection, is easier to deal with for a return (most of the time). Problems arise when you don't know about the product and expect someone who makes $8.00 and hour to be an expert. Fry's carrys a ton of stuff and it changes all the time so dont expect it to be your end all for electronic shopping. Most of the time if you do your part Fry's will perform, just not always like everyone else that sells the kind of goods they do.
