My father was scammed with this epic sound audio system as well. He was approached in a parking lot with the same story of being worth $2000 and had extras off some set they were just on.
The manual is completely fake stating these ridiculous specs that it definately doesn't have. There's no need to get worked up over it though (as long as you received actual speakers and not fake ones).
I just used a different center channel, subwoofer, and receiver along with the 4 other speakers and it works fine. Most of your sound comes out of the center channel speaker so you can't tell tell if the other speakers are bad or not. Using a different receiver will protect you from overheating (which was happening to other "epic sound" systems) and starting fires.
