I went in two Best buy to purchase a TV. I was told when I arrived that they are running a new program. 2 Years with no interest. It sounded good so I filled out the form with name address; yearly income and SS number and the clerk took away the paper work. Came back in a few minutes and said you have been approved for 2k credit line. I asked again two years no interest he said yes again confirming. My mistake was trusting the Best Buy Clark, and the HSBC employees who I called and talked to later. They all refereed too my account as two years no interest. Apparently in the world of HSBC two years is not 24 months and no interest for two years means that they Do charge you interest for those two years. There replay to me has so far been you should have read the fine line (theyre right I should have), and not trusted Best But or there representatives. However one has to wonder how bad and misleading is a company when the definition of the terms Two Year (24 months), and NO is up for debate. I have worked hard to have great credit, but after the way I have been treated by HSBC I am sacrificing that and fighting them to the end. Win or lose if their position is that they lie and we should know better! Then more people should know about that.
