I paid for and downloaded 15 songs from BearShare.com. I could open and play the songs on my Windows Media Player 9. But when I tried to burn or transfer the songs to my MP3 player, I got "license required" error message.
The licenses to these songs were suppose to have been issued by BearShare when I paid for the subscription to each song.
I kept getting lewd pop-up ads during the download process. Even though I've uninstalled BearShare, I'm still getting embedded viruses and spyware on my computer.
When I called BearShare's "customer support, " I was told I couldn't get a refund for "paid items" despite telling the representative all the "paid items" didn't work as they were intended too.
Had to cancel the transaction with my bank instead.
Between the rip-off of not fully using your paid for music, the pop-up ads, and the embedded spyware and viruses, stay away from BearShare! They trully have an underground operation going!
