For two months we have received a $9.99 for something called "Cell Flirt" on our 12YO's cell phone bill. This is a scam called cramming!
Scam #1 - we have no idea how we subscribed to this or where it came from
Scam #2 - After going to the Cell Flirt website I found that they send you an email and you must text "STOP" back to a certain number to cancel the subscription. Believe it or not, not all kids know how to text as is the case with our child. We don't even subscribe to texting.
Scam #3 - After searching Cell Flirt's website it states that you must be 18YO to subscribe. We are dealing with a minor who is 12 years old! Even if our child DID subscribe to this service at what point did they verify age of their customer?
Our cell carrier is removing the charges, however, this company needs to be held accountable for their actions. How can they automatically send a charge to my cell phone carrier without my prior knowledge???
