Had a rude awakening today. At the Compton, California Best Buy store I wanted to buy a DIRECTV satellite receiver of my own. The saleperson inform me that even if I purchased the receiver it would still be leased from DIRECTV. And it said so right on the box. That mean you will be paying for that receiver as long as you buy the service, never to own or stop paying the lease.
At first I was PISS at DIECTV, then I Channel my angry to the POLITICANS that allow the satellite companies to get away with this. YES, I was told that DISH TV has the same policy.
When the CLASS ACTION lawsuit begin, count me in.
