Lost my TV Promo Package and says I picked it up

On 12/20 I purchased a 46" Sony LCD TV (KDL46Z4100/S) and a Sony Surround Sound System (DAVHDX576WF) Promo Package for $1498.99 tax (Awesome deal if I'd have gotten it!) along with a 32" Toshiba LCD TV (32AV502U) for $499.99 tax all on the same receipt, just before store closing.

When I returned home I had a phone message recorded at 11:31 pm that same night from a store employee stating that the 46" Sony TV was not in stock at their store and he had Special Ordered it for me. I looked on the website and found it in stock at 3 other stores, but when I called and asked about it I was told that their driver didn't go that far for pick ups and that it had to be ordered directly from Sony and I'd get a call when it was in.

I eventually was able to pick up the 32" TV (delivery sticker on box says 12/28/08) but the 46" TV wasn't in yet and I didn't want to take the Surround Sound System without the 46" TV as it was a Pkg deal. I waited 2 more weeks and still no call, so I called and got no answer because little did I know they were going out of business and not answering the phone. So I immediatly went to the store and talked to an employee that checked a manager in the back for me and said that they didn't know where it was and that they would look into it for me. The Manager never came out to talk to me tho.

I returned a couple days later and spoke with the Operations Manager who scolded me for not asking for a Manager the last time I was there, which I figured that's what the employee should have done. She then called the Lansing store and said she talked to the Assist. Store Manager who was supposed to look into it and call me the next day. He never called.

So, I went back to the store a couple days later and talked to the Operations Mgr again. She called Lansing again and they said that someone from her Flint store had picked it up and took it back to her Flint store and/or the warehouse. She then said "Obviously nobody in the company cares about you" so she would investigate herself and screen the Security video footage the next day and find out what happened to it and call me on Wednesday (this was on Monday).

She never called. I gave her a couple days extra and then went back to the store, but I was informed it was her day off. So, I asked for who was the manager that day and was told to talk to the Customer Service agent and I asked for a refund which he started to do and then I stupidly told him the whole story so then he said he wouldn't do it. So I asked who was in charge and was told no one was in charge!

I finally got to speak to the Store Director who suggested I come back AGAIN When the Operations Manager was in and I said I was done running back and forth, it's been a month and I wanted something done that day. I asked him to call her and he said no, not on her day off. So, he went to the back, but still visible and looked at papers and made calls and came back and told me that their computer showed that that their inventory was even and that the 46" TV had been picked up the day after I ordered it!!! (Remember it was Special Ordered from SONY late in the evening?) and now on top of that the 32" TV I picked up was 1 short in the inventory!!!

I said I guess I'll have to call the Credit card company and file a dispute and he said "so, you don't want us to do the investigation then?" and I said "YES I DO want you to do the investigation, so I know what happened." and he said he wasn't going to now because I raised my voice at him. Well who wouldn't be getting a little high pitched after all that!?! I haven't heard from anyone from any of the stores since then and the Flint Store is now closed.

I am currently awaiting (going on 2 weeks now) for the paperwork from Chase to officially file this dispute in writing. I am positive that someone from the Flint store knows what happened and its on video tape who took it, but I will probably never find out. Sure as Heck tho, I didn't get it so... I'M NOT PAYIN' FOR IT!!!
