Alessandro Bayamonti AKA Jerry Patrick Alessandro Bayamonti AKA Jerry D. Patrick Royal Mail Scam Milan

I answered a posting on the Madison Wisconsin Craigslist for a Apple Macbook Pro brand new in box with 3 year extended warranty. Jerry D. Patrick e-mail me back stating he now lives in Milan Italy and is using a third party (Royal Mail) to hold payment, deliever laptop and release funds if I was pleased with the unit. He said I needed to send him my full name and address then he would forward the information on to Royal Mail and a representative would contact me with payment information. I received an e-mail with an attachment that when I opened up had all the information listed including my name and address the sellers name and address along with a tracking number and the Royal Mail agent and address. The attachment had Royal Mail logo's all over it and appeared very real. I was to send the money through Western Union. There were several links on the attachment that went directly to Royal Mails website including customer service and what I thought was their tracking page. It turns out the attachment was all fake along with all the link pages. After two days with no update on the tracking information I started to get concerned. I google Royal Mail Scam and found a blog that had the same Royal Mail attachment that was sent to me except the names, addresses and product information was different. At that point I looked up the Royal Mail customer service department in Great Britian and called them. I found out they only do business in the UK and all their tracking numbers end in GB. The country it was being sent from was Italy and my tracking number ends in FT. It was at that point I realized I had been scammed out of $1300. I filed a report with my local police, Western Union and the FBI's cyber crime department. I realize by sending the money through Western Union I will never get a refund.
