I purchased a 5 year ext warranty for our TV. Called to start a claim to fix TV, they gave claim # and said they would call back with in 48 hours with a place to have it fixed. I called 13 times over 1 month to get a repair place. I was told they couldn't find a factory auth repair place in my area. I went to the tv mfg web site and got a place in seconds, called them back and was left on hold 25 mins at a time, hung up on, everyone refused to give thire full names, asked for a mgr, every time was told they all were in meetings, they refused to give any names.
I set up the repair estimate and was told they (Repair Tech) needed to set up a contract with the TV repair place, they never contacted the place even after I did all the work for them, found a place, gave them the company name address phone number & fax. After a month of being lied to hung up on left on hold, I paid to have the TV repaired out of my own pocket, contacted the TV mfg for help and filed a complaint with the BBB in NJ. Repair Tech would not return any calls or letters to the BBB and now have a perminate complaint against them for all to see.
I am out the cost of the fake extended warranty, plus all repair costs on the TV. Beware of extended warranty company's, repair tech inc will give you the run around and never pay you or set up any repairs!
