I researched this company before considering buying a camera from them. I told my husband about their bad reviews online, and he bought a Nikon from them anyway. He was offered an International Nikon or Nikon USA. He opted for the USA model. He also had not idea that the International brand was a gray market camera. When he got the camera and bill, nothing was priced out separately, it was bundled into a "Nikon Special Package" for $300 more than he could have purchased it locally. He tried to register the camera by phone with Nikon USA and was told the serial number is invalid, and that it was a gray market camera. Thus there is no warranty on the camera. It also states it was made in Singapore. So much for paying top dollar for a Nikon USA and being told you will receive a USA camera.
When my husband called Sonicacameras the next day, they said ship it back, and they will send a USA made that it must have been a mistake.
The website states free shipping. We were charged $8.95 and $38.95 insurance that we did not ask for. Another rip off.
Ship it back, YES! Have another one shipped, NO! I don"t think so! The camera is on it's way back, and we expect a full refund. And if not, we will claim fraud on our credit card because the camera was shipped back and we did not get what was promised.
