This phone is on a family plan with three phones. This is the 3rd for 4th phone, I have purchased from Sprint, that has broken. And I paid full price for most of them. This last phone broke, again, and I went in for service at a Sprint store in Columbus. I was told the phone had to be sent away for service; I agreed and asked for a loaner phone. I was told Sprint doesn't give out loaner phones. I told them it was my only phone and I needed one.
I was told by the Sprint customer service rep to go out and buy a pre-paid phone to use until mine came back from repair. I told them I wasn't going to waste money on a pre-paid phone and I said I would just buy another phone from Sprint. I was told I didn't qualify to buy another phone at this time. When I asked what that meant, I was told that it wasn't long enough from the last time I bought a phone from Sprint to qualify to buy another phone. So I told them I would just pay full price for the phone as I couldn't do without phone service. I was then told I didn't qualify to buy any phone period; not even if I paid full price. I couldn't believe it.
So, Sprint left me with no service, no phone and no options. I had to go to another company for service. Then they billed me a $200 termination fee. I have sent a letter of dispute and cc'd the State of Ohio Attorney General. These phone companies ripping off the consumer has got to stop.
The other two family members on the plan with me are switching to another company tomorrow.
