They changed my account login information without my permission — now I do not know if my phone is stolen or not

I am very dissatisified with Sprint right now. Several weeks ago when I speaking to them they had asked me for my security code and I did not know what they were talking about. I verified who I was with my Social Security Number. They asked me to create a pin and I did, but when I was speaking to them on a different day they said that my PIN did not match. They told me that I have to create a PIN or Sprint will create one for me and I will have to go to a store to get into my account. This is annoying; I work for a living and am very busy on my day off — I do not want to make an unncessary trip to a store plus have to wait there, most likely. I created a PIN again and and then again on a subsquent call they had no record of it and checked my account from my Social Security Number. I was, during one of the later calls, prompted to create a PIN again, as well as set up some security questions, which they told me, if any ONE of them was answered would give access to my account, but I felt that the security questions were very insecure and I was not comfortable changing that and I declined to change my PIN saying I want to stick with the Social Security Number. At approximately 9:23 PM on Friday, April 4, I had called to see when my phone was last used as I had misplaced it, my bad, and I want to make sure it was not stolen. It is probably in my apartment, but if it shows usage today, then it was stolen and I have to report it as such. If it shows up as being used a few days ago, then I will wait until it turns up (I do not use my cell a lot). The rep asked for my PIN again and would not accept my Social Security Number. Who is Sprint to tell me what elements of my personal information can give a complete stranger access to my account? I explained that I just want to know when the last usage was and I can verify who I am, but not info that Sprint put in their computer. I had asked for a Supervisor. I spoke to one who was initially polite, but unhelpful. He told me that I need to go to a Sprint store with two forms of ID to find out when my phone was last used. This is becuase Sprint changed information without my permission. I explained to the man that I work for a living and my schedule is not going to change for Sprint. Monday is my soonest day off; I am very busy that day, but will go to a Sprint store if that is the only way, but I am concerned about the phone being used in the meantime. He told me again about the policy, interrupting and talking over me a few times, and told me that this is their new policy since they "switched over." I told the Supervisor that I would like Corporate to call me back and he told me that "Corporate does not call customers back. You have to write a letter." I told him that Corporate had called me back a few weeks ago about something and this cannot wait until I write a letter — I insist on having Corporate call me back and then I was disconnected from the call and I wrote this message on complaint.com as I cannot take the chance that I am going to get a bill for several thousand dollars becuase Sprint is obstructing me from accessing my account necessary to make sure that my phone was not stolen. I am cutting and pasting this to email Sprint moments after submitting it.
