I also got ripped off. I'm filing a lawsuit. If you are too, here's a tp-you don't have to file it in Miami (I'm an attorney located in California). You can file it in the county where you live-a lawsuit based on a contract can be filed in the county where the contract was formed or where it was to be performed.
