Slimy As They Come With Bad Management To Top It Off Long hold times, pfsihing company & the worst customer service ever New YorkNew York, New York

I went online 1/6/08 and purchased a pioneer AVIC D3

I received an email on 1/7 asking that I call to confirm my order. I attempted to do so and was met with extremely rude conversation from a representative by the name of Steve. I was disconnected several times and left on hold for nearly an hour in total. I frustration I asked my wife to call from her office. She was on hold initially for less time and also spoke with Steve who if nothing else is consistent with his rudeness to customers. She inquired as to the shipping status and he replied by asking if she wished to purchase a warranty that was not provided by the manufacturer. She indicated that she did not want the warranty even if as he described "god forbid something should happen to the unit". He then indicated that the item had not been shipped and that it would be sent to shipping now that we had confirmed the order. She said that she was frustrated that an email confirmation to sell an additional product was what had held up the order being shipped. He asked her if she "Knew" that to which she told him that she had assumed based on the conversation. He replied that she should not assume then. She asked for a supervisor being offended by his rude manner. She was transferred to Rachel in customer service who advised her that the order had been sent for shipping but was backordered by 3 weeks. Rachel asked if we were expecting the item sooner than that. She of course indciated yes and advised Rachel to cancel the order and we would take our business elsewhere. She concluded by asking for a supervisor due to the poor treatment we both had received. She was left on hold for 20 min and was disconnected. She then called back and after a 4 minute hold was connected with Steve again. She asked for supervisor contact information after not being correctly transferred to one on her initial request. He advised to call back after 3pm eastern time and ask for TZ. She commended him on not being so rude this time and disconnected the call. She then called back after the appointed time and asked for the supervisor. She was left on hold for an hour and 10 minutes and disconnected twice. During this time she spoke to Vinny who identified himself as the superior to TZ and was just as worthless as everyone else she spoke to and had nothing corrective to offer. She then called back and reached Greg. The one ray of hope in this dismal situation handled the call as a person in customer service should and promised to pass it along the channels that would me most likely to get a result.in all she spoke to Rachel, James, Rober, Steve & Vinny and she held for TZ indefinately. I would recommend avoiding the company as a whole, but if you have to deal with anyone try for Greg.

The website does guarantee maufactuer warranty on everything that they sell even though Steve said they didn't.

We have since ordered the product elsewhere but found it unacceptable that the customer service representatives behaved in such an unprofessional manner. As of now (as it was at the time I placed my order) your website shows the item as available for shipping within 2-3 days. It should probably be corrected.
