Beware High pressure sale tactic and will cancel your order
I was in the market to purchase a new camera when I came across www.TechonDIGITAL.com. I could not believe how low their price was, now I know why!
After you place an internet order with them they send you an email that directs you to call them to confirm your order at which time they use high pressure tactics to sell additional items that they insist you need with the camera.
If you decline, as I did, they abruptly hang up on you and e-mail you that your purchase is on back order for 6-8 weeks.
I think that this is a very misleading way to do business; if the item is not available you should be informed when you place your order. This is common practice with many other internet companies that I have done business with.
I cannot believe how similar this experience is compared to the report I read about The Digital Nerds on consumer complaints. Now I know why both sites have such low prices; they suck you in, then try to sell accessories at inflated prices.
At any rate, be warned before you purchase any items You may regret it.
