Hello Everyone, I assume if you are reading this then you too have bee scammed by this slick-fast talking speaker salesman. Fortunatly for me, My credit card bounced and my back account was empty, so I couldnt pay them what they were asking for. Let me start however with the story. I was outside taking a 60 minute break from my job, when all the sudden a ford explorer pulls up to me and asks me if I want to buy speakers. At first I was a bit skeptical, but because I had time ot kill and nothing ot do, I entertained the idea and asked ot see what they were offering. Not let me tell you, while I too am a salesman, they sure did pull a fast one on me! These guys are fast talkers and have information, which i am sure is fake, to back up their claims! Like a mouse running towards cheese, they immediatly got out of their SUV and started thieir sales propeganda. They first pointed to the price that was listed on the box, which ran about 1999.00 for EACH speaker. They then started telling me this elaborate story on how the company that sells these speakers shipped an EXTRA pair accidently, and how they want to get their hands off it as soon as possible. I was somewhat interested, but rather sceptical because I had not heard of this brand before, but then again, i am not a very large stero buff either. I then asked how much they would be selling these "prize" quality speakers for? They had no response, but instead a counter question, asking me how much they thought these speakers were worth to me. I explained foolishly that I a novice and i wasnt too sure. I said, i was uncomfortable spending too much money as have other financial obligations, so therefore the price that I could pay would be significally lesser then the original posted retail price. Uncertain as to how much I could afford or have, I went with them to my bank to see my balance. I hopped into their truck and away went to my bank. When I got there, I went and checked my balance. It was a measily 114.14! I withdrew all of it, and asked if 114.14 was enough. They flatly denied me! As we were driving back, I realized through my credit card i could get a cash advance. We then went from back to bank trying to find out which banks allow for Cash Advancing. We finally found one, and I with drew another 100.00. Fortunatly for me, my credit limit wasnt that high or I would have taken more out.in the end I ended up giving them $214.14 to these crooks and got 2 Pairs of thir sl-400 speakers (whih are crap) and a free trip around town to get the money needed. What a story I get to tell my kids when I am older huh? AFter reading some of the other posts, I am really glad I didnt end up giving more money then the amount I had. I can't even begin to imagine the amount of pain many of the victims feel as they spent over 600 dollars on this garabage. While I am extremly upset at what happend, I have at least came through with some learning experiences.
