I ordered the Protron 42 Inch LCD. You Know, the one where the salesman says IF you order now you WILL have it for the holidays. It's NOT Happening. I ordered One of these on Nov. 9 2006 and just like on TV the man said IF you order now you will have it for Thanksgiving. For TEN days, Shop NBC told me the television was shipped out. I actually have an E-mail from them saying it was shipped out dated the 10th of November.
I called about four or five day's in to tell Shop NBC hey, UPS does NOT have the TV, Whats UP. They said It has been shipped and you can track at UPS via 1Z number. The number at UPS states that BILLING INFORMATION was received on the 10th of November, (BILLING INFO) does not mean TV. So I call on day five or six, whatever to Shop NBC and tell them look, I don't want to play games with UPS, SHOP NBC or Protron. Just cancel the order and forget it.
NO WAY. Yes it is true, Shop NBC told me that I cannot cancel the order because it has already shipped. Strange. UPS does NOT have the TV. Maybe it is just me, but when someone say's shipped it usually means UPS or someone else ACTUALLY does have IT in their posession, whatever you have purchased.
This went on for OVER 10 DAYS. On the 20th of November Of course, I called Shop NBC AGAIN to complain and CANCEL the order. The Shop NBC customer service person amazingly finds the TV at UPS and it can now be tracked. UPS tells me via the WEB that UPS does have the merchandise and today is the 20th of November.
Remember that nice salesman that told me, it would be IN MY HOME for the Holidays. No way. UPS tracking tells me it took so long for them to actually take posession of the Item that Holiday Shipping is OUT, NO WAY. The rescheduled delivery date is posted by UPS as November the 27th. That is the soonest that I MAY receive the TV that I don't even want now.
My thought is that I should have been able to cancel the order because UPS did NOT have the TV in its possession for those 10 days. Only on day Eleven does UPS even mention, we now have the Item. It's the OLD the Check is in THE MAIL scam. I am very upset because at this point Shop NBC and it's company stands to gain somewhere around $89.00 or more maybe hundreds for what is called NOT REFUNDABLES.
I even tried to go and see the other customer reviews and maybe write one of my own on the web site. Strange, I could NOT find any way at all on the web site to leave a customer review.
Take my word for it. When you see Shop NBC on the TV. You had BETTER use the Remote Control FAST. I even pointed out the fact that I would NOT be able to get this TV at all until November the 27th at the very earliest. Shop NBC told me, Sorry about that. I guess that means to bad for me because they are NOT going to do anything at all about it. And I am still waiting for the TV today that UPS is bringing me that I will REFUSE at the door so that UPS can take it back so that Shop NBC can tell someone else, WE SHIPPED IT OUT.
Upset does NOT even come near what I am. I am waiting for the TV at actually hit the door so that I can be sure of the dates when I file the BBB Complaint against Shop NBC.
