These people provided my satellite television service when the company was named SBC. When AT&T bought the company and raised all the rates, I opted to terminate our relationship.
It took a lot of work, but I finally reached a customer service representative who would actually speak to me by email. I followed the instructions and sent back all the equipment. I requested that I be informed when they got the equipment.
When I called customer service over the next two months trying to find out if they ever got the equipment, I was shuttled from one phone number to another and NOBODY KNEW ANYTHING.
I did not hear from them, ever, except to get a $7.50 late charge for my bill. Soon, they doubled this charge and are now threatening me with all sorts of things, including the termination of a service I have not had with them since January
They call the house, they send threatening letters... All this for $15 which I do not owe them.
Now I realize that this isn't much money, but I consider it extortion and harrassment.
This is a h-u-g-e company willing to intimidate the little guy and nickel and dime us to death.
Please see my other Ripp-off Report of AT&T Wireless.
