I was looking up prices on the Buffy the Vampire Slayer box DVD set, about $200, when freegiftworld popped up and offered it to me for free. All I had to do was take 5 min (HAH!) and do some surveys.
Well, even after I realised I would have to sign up for deals I hadn't been looking for, I ended up ordering and paying for DVD's from columbia house, CD's from BMG music club, and some weight loss pill, which I will promptly send back.
Of course, after I spent all that money, the website only took me to another page of surveys. After waiting for my "comformation email" for a week, I searched their website for a way to contact them. I found a way to eamil them, and still have not heard anything. I have checked my "account status" on the website, and none of the offers I was tricked into signing up for are credited.
It's illegal to do this in the real world, why is it that some interent based co. Can get away with it?
