I submitted a $30 rebate from a Sony DVD Burner that I bought at Best Buy, and included all the materials requested. A month or so after submitting, I get a notice from Web-Rebates.com that I did not include the UPC barcode. Looking at the box, I obviously did, because there is a huge hole where the barcode was. After contacting Web-rebates.com they said they were sorry for the mixup and proceeded to setup an impossible deadline for me to mail in a copy of the receipt (which I have to get from customer service at the store via a long process) and then resubmit the information that I have within 3-4 business days. Considering it will take 3-4 days to mail it from where I am located, it is obvious this is a scam to deter my rebate from being issued. I followed the instructions from the start and now am in a loop-hole of no longer recieving what was legally mine.
