After viewing the benn-store.com website, I emailed for more information. I was interested in purchasing some ipod minis for resale. I recieved an email back with pricing/products from company owner BENNY CANDRA. He encouraged me to order and pay by international wire transfer to Indonesia.
Somewhat suspicious, I called Benny at the cell phone number he provided. He assured me that my UPS shipment would be sent within 3 to 5 days. After we hung up, I emailed Benny what I wanted to order.
Benny sent back an invoice for $2800 and bank transfer info. I received my tracking # (valid) through the UPS website for the correct weight & # of units. With these items in hand, I felt secure and sent out my bank transfer.
Benny was in constant contact & very helpful and polite until the wire transfer finished. After that, I could no longer raise him by phone or email. He kept the money, and never sent a thing. I now have no way to pay my rent this month, as I was planning on selling the ipods when they should have arrived (November 18) and paying my December 15 rent from that profit.
Benny still won't answer communication.
UPS is investigating to find out if he has sent other fraudulent emails through the UPS system stating that a package is going to be shipped, and then just never shipping the item. They are upset that their system is being misused in such a way.
