Ripoff, decline to honor the warranty, item damanged and not functioning from day one, refuse to provide any solution

My brother bought me a Panasonic CT-27HL15 27" HD-Ready Flat Screen TV for me on Aug 21 from Amazon.com. The delivery took about 2 weeks. When it arrived the delivery men pushed me to sign some paperwork without explaining to me what they were about.

Right after they left I tried to turn the TV on and found it's not working at all. I contacted Panasonic immediately and they gave me number of a local servicer. According to the servicer there was a damage in some circuit board, and Panasonic refused to cover the replacement of it, although they claim to provide 1-year in home labor and part waranty for their products.

I also contacted Amazon and Amazon told me that I should contact Panasonic, and "we will not be able to offer any additional insight or action on these matters". So now the reality is, we paid 489 bucks for a useless TV set, which is still at the servicer's, and no party is willing to offer a solution, and not to mention all the trouble we've been through. Panasonic and Amazon are kicking the ball to each other. And once they collect the money they don't care anymore.

P.S. It took so many days for the servicer to get back to me since they were waiting for Panasonic's reply, while Panasonic would wait for many days to call him back. Also both Panasonic and Amazon customer service promised that "someone will call you back/email you in 2 days" and they never did.
