InPhonic - Cellular Choices
Rebate Processing Center ripoff don't bother attempting this rebate. It's just a scam

Purchased cell phone online from CellularChoices.net. Advertised for $300 with $300 rebate. The phone came, the service was set up, the phone works, and the forms said to wait between 150 and 180 days after purchase and submit them with appropriate paperwork to Rebate Processing Center in White Bear Lake, MN.

Did that, but no go. I received letters in the mail (2, one for each rebate - the "Customer Appreciation" rebate and the "Customer Loyalty" rebate) stating that some niggling little bit of detail (but which was not specified) was not on the phone bill that they really needed, so - rebate denied! Send more info within 30 days from this letter or you will not receive anything.

Tuesday the 23rd, I called to find out specifically what information was missing from the phone billing statement. They were rude and repeated what the letter said, but didn't explain what was missing until I pressed them. Finally, they came up with the excuse that the Previous Balance and payment toward that previous balance showing that the balance was paid in full didn't appear. Okay, I faxed them a photocopy of that. They said they'd call me on Friday and let me know if they were satisfied with that information.

They didn't call Friday, so I called in the afternoon. Rebate still denied! Now, they needed indication on the billing statement of the mobile telephone number. Oh, but they didn't say that before! Okay, I fax them the entire billing statement. Now they have *everything* possible. I call them back in the afternoon to ask what else they need. Oh, we cannot answer that question today! Nichole says the fax is not on Corrin's desk, Corrin's at lunch, so we can't help you today! Also, it takes 24 hours for the fax to be delivered from the fax department to the Customer Care Department. So, call back Monday!

Yes, let's make another week pass by. And then, with any luck, the window of opportunity will slam shut finally and there will be no rebate.

Time is passing; they keep cooking up more excuses. Don't bother buying a cell phone from Cellular Choices online (cellularchoices.net) or anyone referring you to the InPhonic rebate program. It's just a big scam, a big come-on.

If you want a cell phone, buy it from a phone kiosk or service provider in your local mall or local service provider's wireless store instead. You will not be lured by the false come-ons or alleged rebates, and you can go get in someone's face if something goes wrong.

These people are snakes.
